Quick thought on the Slam Dunk Contest

Seriously, Nate Robinson did boring dunks that everybody else does, and wins only because he's 5'8". He was boring, Dwight Howard was exciting. (Heck, Robinson shouldn't have even made it to the finals - Rudy Fernandez was better.) World, you got it wrong.

Sometimes you are wrong

About my last post where I said something about celebrating a self destructive artist? Yeah, I'd rather that than seeing the Grammys once again show that nobody under the age of 50 votes for these things anyway.

Herbie Hancock over Kanye, Winehouse and the Foo Fighters? Come on now.

One of the worst ideas in history

I have a metric tonne of respect for Bob Barker, but this might be one of the worst things I have ever heard.

Rosie O'Donnell is the polar opposite of what you need for the Price is Right. You need someone who is poise and class in the midst of the tackiness all around him (or her). Rosie O'Donnell might relate well with people, but she does not have the presence needed for the show.

Well that blew

To sum up my thoughts on the travesty that was the Montreal/Toronto game, it is very difficult to win a game when (a) all of the bounces go in your opponents' favour and (b) when you play at least half the game as though you want to be golfing instead of playing in the plaoffs. Also, with any luck this is the last time that Alexei Kovalev wears a Montreal Canadiens jersey.

What a fucking frustrating game to watch.
